Penggunaan Limbah Eggshell Sebagai Bahan Stabilisasi Tanah Lempung Terhadap Uji Nilai Cbr
Abstract
Soil also plays a very important role in construction, especially in foundation work. The foundation to be built must also have a strong enough abil- ity to support the load of the building. Stabilization by using a mixture of eggshell waste is considered to be used because it can bind and can hard- en when reacted with water. While the eggshell also has a fairly rough texture so it has a fairly high she ar strength. Egg shell/shell has 97% Cal- cium Carbonate. Eggshell Powder or can be abbreviated as SCT is an ideal material to replace lime in soil stabilization, because Eggshell Powder has the same chemical content as Calcium Oxide (CaO) which can increase the pH of alluvial soils. In this study, obtained from the original soil Atterberg limit test data, the yield limit value (LL) was 49.96%, the plastic limit (PL) was 42.22%, and the plasticity index (IP) was 7.74%. Based on the USCS Classification, the original soil sample was included in the type of CL (Lean Clay), namely inorganic clay with high plastici- ty. Based on the AASHTO Classification, the original soil sample belongs to type A-2-7. From the Standard Proctor compaction experiment, it was obtained from the original soil which had a maximum dry density (γd max) of 1.339% and an optimum grade value (Wopt) of 22.43 gr/cm3. Laboratory CBR without soaking (unsoaked), from the results of Laboratory CBR testing carried out on native soil, the CBR value was 5.02%.
