ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN DAYA DUKUNG PONDASI BORED PILE MENGGUNAKAN METODE REESE & WRIGHT DAN METODE MEYERHOFF

Abstract

The need for accurate and safe foundation design is paramount, especially in soft soil conditions, which were encountered at the construction site of the Ji’rona Hospital ‘Aisyiyah Bojonegoro Building project. Bored pile foundations were selected as the technical solution to evenly distribute the building’s load to harder soil layers. This research analyzes the comparison of bored pile foundation bearing capacity using the Reese & Wright Method and the Meyerhoff Method. Based on Standart Penetration Test (SPT) data and axial load analysis from SAP 2000 version 24, the Reese & Wright Method yielded a single pile allowable bearing capacity of 360,09 tons, requiring a total of 111 piles for the entire structure. Meanwhile, the Meyerhoff Method resulted in a single pile allowable bearing capacity of 317,79 tons, necessitating a total of 125 piles for the entire structure. The research findings indicate a significant difference between the two methods. This disparity suggests that the Reese & Wright Method provides a more conservative bearing capacity value compared to the Meyerhoff Method. The group pile bearing capacity analysis demonstrates that both methods yield a safe number of piles to support the maximum axial load calculated from the structure.
