Abstract

The success of a construction project depends on determining the heavy equipment that will be used. Choosing the right machine is essential for the smooth completion of a task or project. The purpose of this final project is to calculate the productivity of the heavy equipment, the amount of equipment needed, and the time needed to complete the task. The productivity of the Komatsu PC70-8 excavator and the 6-wheel dump truck Isuzu ELF (N Series) are combined into the main topic of this study. As a result, it was determined that the excavator was producing 79,017 m³ of work every day, requiring one unit to remove 1,090 m³ of soil in 96,563 hours. The production of dump trucks at the disposal site with a distance of 7 km is 28.39 m3/day using 3 units of dump trucks.
