Abstract

Research to find the right emulsifier diesel fuel on the burner has been carried out. The parameters analyzed were this study aimed to determine the effect of plate thickness on the production rate and efficiency of the Wet Cell type HHO generator. The electrodes used are in the form of a circular 304 stainless steel plate with a diameter of 9 mm, a total of 20 pieces arranged horizontally and a 20 gram / liter sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) catalyst. The variation of the thickness of the electrode plates is 0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2 mm. With a power supply of 12V 35Ah. The test includes the production rate and generator efficiency.

The results of the study indicate that the largest HHO gas production rate occurs at 2 mm thickness of electrodes with a production rate of 0.8 l / min with an efficiency of 95.38%
