Pengaruh Kedalaman Pemakanan Pada Mesin Frais Terhadap Getaran Dan Kekasaran Permukaan Baja Aisi 4140
Abstract
This test uses the Universal Milling Machine KNEE-TYPE 57-3C with AISI 4140 steel workpiece which aims to determine the effect of machining parameters, especially the depth of feeding on the vibration and roughness of the workpiece that occurs in the milling machine with horizontal table movement (x-axis). The method used in this test varies the depth of feed 0.5, 1, and 1.5 mm, using diameter 7 mm 4 flutes HSS tools, while other parameters such as spindle rotation speed and feeding speed are kept constant. The results of this study indicate, at a feeding depth of 0.5 mm has a vibration of 3.46 mm/s. A feeding depth of 1 mm has a vibration of 4 mm/s. A feeding depth of 1.5 mm has a vibration of 7.16 mm/s. and the average surface roughness (Ra) is 1,615 μm. In this study, it was shown that the greater the vibration, the higher the roughness value of the workpiece produced and it means that the depth of the feed is correlated with the vibration and surface roughness
