Kaji Eksperimental Aliran Dua Fase Water-Crude Oil Melewati Pipa Horizontal Dengan Variasi Putaran Kecepatan Pompa
Abstract
Multi-phase flow occurs in everyday life, both in small and large industries. Multi-phase flow in the process of the petroleum industry, starting from drilling for oil in the bowels of the earth, to the distribution process to refineries. The flow pattern that occurs is sometimes not as desired. Where the liquid is carried by the gas flow, which causes sudden pressure changes and large pressure differences. Research to see the pattern and situation of two-phase water-crude oil flow that passes through a pipe with a sudden change in cross-section with a small pipe diameter is 0.014 m and 0.021 for large pipe diameters. To get a visualization of the flow in the expansion area, a transparent acrylic pipe was used. The percentage of crude oil used is 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and the percentage of water is 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% by varying the rotation of the motor pump starting from 2100 rpm, 2400 rpm, 2700 rpm. To identify the flow patterns that occur in this study, a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) type camera is used. Flow patterns obtained from this study are scattered flow. The increase in the volume of crude oil causes the flow rate to decrease. The flow rate is obtained when the air flow is one-phase, namely 0.00032 m3 / s, while the lowest value is obtained when the mixture is 85% -15% at 0.0002 m3 / s.
