Pengaruh Pencampuran Bahan Bakar Pertalite Dengan Minyak Terpentin Terhadap Performa Motor Empat Langkah
Abstract
This study was conducted to analyze the effect of mixing pertalite fuel with turpentine oil on the performance and exhaust gas emissions of four-stroke motorcycles with injection technology. There are five variations of the mixture that was tested, namely pure pertalite (B0), B5, B10, B15 and also B20 at engine rotations of 1500, 3000, 4500 and 6000 rpm using a test tool namely dynotest V3.3 to obtain test data on Power, Torque, Specific Fuel Consumption and also using a Gas Analyzer test tool for Exhaust Gas Emissions such as CO, CO2, O2 and also HC. The test results show that the turpentine oil mixture is able to increase combustion efficiency to engine performance, in this test the highest torque obtained B5 which is 24.36 Nm and the lowest torque obtained B0 which is 7.01 Nm, the highest power obtained B20 which is 7.20 HP at 4500 engine rotation and at 6000 engine rotation B20 is still superior to B0 which is 6.87 HP while B0 is 5.84 HP. The results of the Fuel Consumption test show that in every proportion of turpentine oil mixing is able to save fuel consumption well. Exhaust gas emission testing shows that the mixing of turpentine oil has a positive impact on pollution reduction because turpentine oil has natural oxygen content which is able to make performance more efficient and also cleaner combustion compared to the use of pure pertalite.
