Abstract

Desalination Plant is an important part of the electricity production process at PLN Nusantara Power Unit Generating Gresik. This Desalination Plant is used to convert seawater into fresh water. This fresh water will be used as filler water and cooling water both in the PLTU and in the PLTGU. Therefore, the reliability of the Desalination Plant must be maintained, so that electricity can continue to be distributed to the people of Indonesia, especially in Java. With the reliability of the Desalination Plant, a work program can be planned that is in accordance with the condition of the Desalination Plant equipment. To calculate the reliability of the Desalination Plant, Weibull and Monte Carlo Modeling are used. The reliability of Desalination Plant 1 is close to (22%) after 2,000 hours of operation. Because in the field the Desalination Plant 1 system is built side by side with Desalination Plants 2 and 3 which are parallel in system, so the actual reliability is actually higher. The lowest reliability of Desalination Plant #1 PLTGU equipment at 2,000 hours of operation is Chemical Injection at 71%. The results of this analysis meet the provisions stated in the PT PLN Nusantara Power Risk Management Decree
