Analisis Pengaruh Penambahan Pasir Besi Terhadap Uji Kuat Tekan Beton
Abstract
A potential material to be used as an additive in concrete mixtures is iron sand to increase the compressive strength of concrete. In this study, iron sand was used as an addition to the weight of fine aggregate for concrete mixtures with the aim of determining the effect of adding iron sand on concrete compressive strength tests and knowing the composition value of iron sand variations that produce maximum compressive strength. This study used a laboratory experimental method to analyze the effect of adding iron sand on concrete compressive strength by making cylindrical test specimens made by mixing iron sand as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in certain variations. The test specimens were in the form of cylinders measuring (150 mm x 300 mm), the test specimens were cured and tested at the age of 7 days. The value of concrete compressive strength carried out after the 28-day age coefficient, the value of concrete compressive strength of 5% iron sand variation obtained an average value of 21.97 Mpa, while the 10% variation test specimen obtained an average value of 22.77 Mpa, while the 15% variation test specimen obtained an average value of 19.87 Mpa. In this study, the 5% variation experienced an increase of 4.46%, the 10% variation also experienced an increase of 8.27%, and the 15% variation experienced a decrease of 5.52%. Compared to 0%, the average value was 21.032 MPa. Therefore, the composition value of the variation of iron sand addition to concrete that produces maximum compressive strength is the test specimen with a 10% variation
