Analisa Uji Keretakan Dan Kekerasan Pada Poros Tongkat Kemudi Kapal Jenis Baja Pasca Pengelasan
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study aims to investigate the effect of the ship shaft on material hardness. To determine the hardness of a material, various testing methods are used, one of which is the Vickers method, which involves applying force to a diamond pyramid indenter on the material whose hardness is to be determined.
The hardness value is determined by the applied load divided by the indentation area. This research focuses on the effect of load size on Vickers hardness results.
The results show that with a 2.5 kg load, the average hardness value without treatment is 396.67 HV, and the highest hardness value is 474.62 HV. The hardness value using RB 26 E 6013 steel welding wire resulted in an average of 542.21 HV, while the hardness value using LB 52 U 7016 steel welding wire resulted in an average of 420.83 HV.
