Abstract

Stunting  is a term used to describe malnutrition in children. Stunting  can be detected from the nutritional status of infants, which is determined using anthropometry. At health centers, the measurement and determination of infants' nutritional status is still done manually. The manual measurement process at health centers is often time-consuming and prone to error. This study aims to design an Arduino-based device for measuring height, weight, and nutritional status of infants to facilitate growth monitoring. The device uses an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor for height measurement, a load cell with an HX711 module for weight measurement, and an Arduino Uno as the data processor that displays the results on an LCD screen. The research methods included literature review, hardware and software design, and testing on 30 infants aged 3–17 months. The test results showed a Mean Squared Error (MSE) value of 0.0077 for weight measurement and 0.1953 for height measurement, which are still within the anthropometric tolerance limits. Nutritional status validation demonstrated high accuracy and consistency between the device's results and Posyandu data. Thus, this device can provide accurate, consistent, and practical results, making it suitable for use in supporting Posyandu activities to monitor infant nutritional status and prevent Stunting.
