Monitoring Ketersediaan Parkir Berbasis IoT Menggunakan ESP32 dan RFID
Abstract
The problem of parking availability is becoming increasingly complex with the increasing number of vehicles in public places and campuses. The objective of this research is to design and develop a prototype monitoring system for parking availability based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using an ESP32 microcontroller and RFID technology. This system uses infrared sensors to detect the presence of vehicles in the parking space and RFID to identify vehicles entering and exiting. The information obtained is displayed in real time via a 20x4 I2C LCD. This makes it easier for potential parking users to find available parking spaces. The design process includes hardware and software development, system implementation, and testing the system's accuracy and reliability. Test results show that the system can recognize vehicles with a high degree of accuracy and update parking information in real time. Therefore, this system should improve efficiency and convenience for potential users and parking lot managers.
